Why Thagai exists

Love doesn't shrink with distance. Time does.

You're in Bengaluru, or Dubai, or stuck in back-to-back meetings across town. Your parents are in Chennai, saying "all fine" on every call. Thagai is the someone who shows up when you can't, and tells you how things really are.

Become a Saha

Give a few hours. Gain a grandparent.

Every week in Chennai, a Paati waits for the doorbell and a Thatha saves his best stories for someone who will listen. As a Saha, you become that someone. You walk with them, laugh with them, help with the little things, and leave every visit knowing you made someone's day a little brighter.

A few simple steps are all it takes to start something truly meaningful.

More than care

It's not a service. It's company.

Two generations, meeting halfway. Your parents get young company and someone to show them the new world. Our Sahas and Care Managers get the stories, the wisdom and the recipes.

Questions

Before you book.

Where in Chennai do you work?

Across Chennai. Tell us your parents' area and we'll match a Saha who lives nearby.

What's the difference between Saha and One Touch?

A Saha is help for one visit, paid by the hour. One Touch is a monthly plan where a Care Manager calls your parents every day, visits every week, and handles things for you.

Who are the Sahas and Care Managers?

Students, working professionals, teachers and homemakers who are patient and kind with older people. Sahas help with individual visits. Care Managers look after a family every week on One Touch. Every one of them is met in person before they start.

Is Thagai a nursing service?

No. Sahas help with company, accompaniment and everyday tasks. If your parents need a nurse or caretaker, we'll help you find the right person.

Do I need the app?

No. You can book, track and get updates in the app, or simply message us on WhatsApp and we'll handle the rest.

What if my parents don't want help?

Very common. Many families start with one small visit, like an evening walk or a hospital trip. Once your parents meet their Saha, it usually gets easier.

You may not be there every day. Someone from Thagai is.

Tell us about your parents. We'll match the right Saha or Care Manager and take it from there.
